WORK FROM HOME: PROS and CONS What is the advantage/disavantage of work from home?

For the past 10 years, I worked in different Business Process Outsourcing companies as a Customer Service Representative for different campaigns. In that span of 10 years, WORK FROM HOME never came across my mind. All that is on my mind is, go to work with my given schedule, fulfill my duties as a CSR, meet my metrics, wait till the next paycheck etc.
For those years I spent, I was thinking of leveling up my career from being a regular customer service representative to becoming a Team Leader. I was able to achieve that dream in year 2018, I finally got the promotion that I was dreaming of. Finally, a change in my career. I gained a lot of knowledge in training people, managing people, coaching people to reach their goals and meet their Key Performance Indicator targets and a lot more.
I was enjoying things at work, as I get to meet a lot of people, gain more friends, found a family outside of my home, be exposed with different challenges and learn from it. All of those stuff. Until the pandemic came.
WORK FROM HOME: PROS
My years working since 2010, I had too many struggles. Individually as a career woman, mother, wife and as daughter. You can read my journey through this blog.
When the pandemic came; COVID-19 surged, it affected the whole world. The economy failing, health care systems, the government, public and private sectors were all affected. Us, from the BPO sector, for safety reasons were given the opportunity to Work-From-Home. It opened a lot of good things for many working parents, and I have listed some of them:
Travel
By working from home, I was able to save so much time in travelling.
Expense
I was able to save some of the expenses when working on site such as commuting fees, gas money, expenses for food for break-lunch-break.
Time
I was able to save time, the 2 hours preparation including travel was saved and a lot of time to spare.
The time I saved, I finally was able to spend with my children which I was never able to do ever since I started working.
Productivity
Since there is so much time saved compared to when working on site, I get to start and finish my tasks on time.
What are the CONS of WORKING FROM HOME?
I was happy with the Work-From-Home set-up, but there are days that I felt that there is something missing. And here are the things that came into my mind during that time:
I miss my friends!
There you have it, you have so much time to spend now with family and you miss chatting with your friends about anything under the sun. I'm not sure if you would agree, but there are things you tell your friends that you can't tell your family. Isn't that just right?
I want to go out and spend!
Oh, sometimes you miss the food you buy from your favorite vendor when at work!
And being at home, you prepare your own food. It's nice to have those home cooked meals, but you have cravings too!
I want something to do with my time!
Since you have so much time, you already spent some to your family, you wanted go out.
You want to go to the malls, or maybe a park, restaurant.
or, you want to just drive!
Separation of Personal and Work Stuff
This is my most struggle and most important. Let's discuss it briefly.
I had a lot of things going on when Working-From-Home, and those PROS and CONS are purely based from my personal experiences. The challenge that I need to overcome when working from home is the Separation of Personal and Work Stuff.
Sometimes, when you want to focus working [when at home] - so many things just happens in the background that you can't help but attend to. Your need and want to focus on the job, on finishing your task versus the things that is keeping you to do it is way so frustrating.
So I am writing some tips o my next article to help you overcome those challenges I mentioned.
